Use hyperlink annotations to create interactive boxes which, when activated by the user, will jump to another part of the same PDF, a different PDF or internet URL.

  • To activate a hyperlink, click on it with the Hand tool .
  • After clicking on a page-to-page hyperlink, use the history button  on the Navigation toolbar (View > Toolbars > Navigation) to go back to the previous view – just like the "Back" button in a web browser.
  • To find out where hyperlinks exist on the page, choose the Link tool  on the Edit toolbar, and all hyperlinks on the page will be outlined.
Notes
  • Hyperlinks are annotations that float above the page in their own layer. They do not track page contents which means that if you edit the text or move the objects on the page the position of the hyperlink may then be incorrect and require adjustment.
